Review material selection process. Identify core materials and structural stiffening systems. Evaluate load and stress dissipation. Evaluate the function of structural components. Review construction and attachment methods for hull appendages. Evaluate welding techniques/laminate processes. Inspect methods of installing engines, generators, pumps, rigs, keels, prop shafts, shaft brackets and rudders. Assess the sealing of hull to deck and superstructure hardware.

New Build Defects - Pre-Delivery Inspection. - New craft can have significant manufacturing defects. This inspection covers all structural build qualities and includes machinery and drive installations as well as small and cosmetic faults. A defect list may be produced. Any warranty concerns are highlighted before hand over is completed.
